Life of a Child Safety Seat

The Juvenile Product Manufacturers Association recommends that a child safety seat be used no longer than six years from the date of manufacture. The date of manufacture will be located on one of the labels attached to the child safety seat. Some child safety seats will have an expiration date stamped on them. If you have any questions about how long you can use your child safety seat, you should contact the manufacturer of the seat.
