2019 Indiana Child Passenger Safety Conference Registration

Safe Kids Indiana and the Automotive Safety Program are pleased to announce the 2019 Indiana Child Passenger Safety Conference (formerly known as the Injury Prevention Conference) and the 23nd Annual Child Safety Advocate Awards.  The annual Indiana Child Passenger Safety Conference is attended by over 150 injury prevention professionals from throughout the state and surrounding states and provides a forum to deliver relevant and timely information regarding child safety.

This year, we have some exciting changes to announce.  First, there is no fee for registration for the conference for Indiana residents.  Second, the Indiana Child Passenger Safety Conference will be held in one day, with annual Indianapolis Zoo Car Seat Clinic being held on the day before the full conference.

Indianapolis Zoo Car Seat Clinic-Monday, June 3, 2019 5:00pm to 7:00pm
Indiana Child Passenger Safety Conference-Tuesday, June 4, 2019
TIMES: Approximately 8:30 am – 5:30 pm

LOCATION: The Crane Bay Event Center
551 W. Merrill St., Indianapolis, IN 46225.
Attendees can earn child passenger safety technician CEU’s, as required for CPS Technician recertification.  Also, law enforcement officers will be able to earn training hours by attending conference sessions.

Child passenger safety technicians attending the conference are invited to participate in the annual Indianapolis Zoo car seat clinic, which will be held after the conclusion of Day One.  The clinic allows CPST’s the opportunity to help families while honing skills and earning community education hours towards recertification.  CPST instructors will also be on hand for CPST’s in need of seat check sign-offs.
The clinic will run from 5:00pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, June 3, 2019 at the Indianapolis Zoo. Please plan to arrive no later than 4:00 pm and stay until approximately 7:30 pm.
The first day of the conference will include the 23rd Annual Child Safety Advocate Awards Luncheon. We will honor individuals and organizations who have demonstrated extraordinary efforts in preventing injuries and deaths among Indiana’s children. If you are interested in nominating a deserving individual or organization, click and download the nomination form.

Registration for the conference is at no cost to Indiana residents and includes all meals, snacks, beverages, conference materials, and daytime parking at the Crane Bay Event Center.

However, registration will be restricted to the first one hundred fifty (150) Indiana Child Passenger Safety Technicians.

Registeration will open soon!  Please check back in late November/early December!
